A place that inspires
The viewing tower is easy to reach: take the Speikboden gondola from the valley up to 2,000 metres above sea level. From there, it’s about a 10-minute walk to the valley station of the Sonnklar chairlift. Right next to the top station exit, at 2,400 metres above sea level, you’ll find the viewing tower.
The panorama stretches from the iconic Three Peaks in the Dolomites to the Zillertal Alps and the Durreck Group. Clearly marked summit descriptions help you discover and explore the surrounding mountain world with ease.
At the top, a special highlight awaits: our photo point — the perfect spot to capture this unforgettable view.

Did you know...
...that you can reach two summit crosses near the Sonnklar viewing tower?
The Sonnklar Nock summit is only about a 15-minute walk from the top station of the chairlift — perfect for anyone looking for an easier mountain experience.
If the Sonnklar Nock is not enough for you, simply head in the opposite direction and climb around 110 vertical metres to reach the highest point in the area: the picturesque Speikboden summit. A breathtaking panoramic view awaits you at over 2,500 metres above sea level.
By the way: several hiking trails start directly at the Sonnklar mountain station, including the Panoramaweg and the Kellerbauerweg.
