Steep and demanding rock faces alternate with easier sections. At times, you will cling to the steel cable along exposed slopes; at others, you walk across grassy mountain paths.
Suspension bridges put your sense of height to the test. To get used to the route, you first cross an 18-metre-long rope bridge. After about an hour of climbing and scrambling above the abyss, your coordination is challenged at just the right moment. Shortly afterwards, the 43-metre-long super suspension bridge awaits: take a deep breath and don’t forget to enjoy the moment. We recommend taking out your camera here to capture the climbers in action!
The route continues through rock walls; the exit at around 2,500 metres is now close and the terrain becomes increasingly rocky. The final walking section leads to the summit cross of Speikboden, from which the mountain takes its name.
