100kg Skitour race at Klausberg

"Is being strong enough?" - that's the motto of the unique, and indeed crazy, ski touring race in Ahrntal. For a change, this race doesn't focus on light gear, but rather on a lot of kilos. Every ski tourer must weigh at least 100 kg. If they don't achieve this weight with their own body and equipment, they'll be loaded with sandbags accordingly. Women need to reach 70 kg. "Loaded" like this, the participants run from the valley station (1,052m) of the Klausberg ski arena to the K1 mountain station (1,850m). Who will prove to be strong enough?

For non-ski tourers, there's the option to ride the new K-Express cable car to Kristallalm for FREE, which is also open. The K-Express cable car operates from 6:30 PM to 12:30 AM.
