We are thrilled to announce that the Ahrntal holiday region has received the prestigious international award for sustainable tourism!
The four initiators of the Future Ahrntal Consortium (the Klausberg and Speikboden ski areas, along with the tourism associations of Sand in Taufers and Ahrntal) decided early on to develop the holiday region sustainably. This award confirms our efforts for a livable future. At the same time, it motivates us to take further bold steps towards sustainability together with all involved. Our goal is to preserve our valley in such a way that it remains enjoyable for both the people who live here and you, our guests. A place that manages its resources responsibly and passes on its unique features to future generations.

Green Destinations is a certification body recognized by the GSTC (Global Sustainable Tourism Council), which has been setting the world's leading standards for sustainable travel and tourism since 2007. The GSTC was founded by prominent organizations such as the UNWTO, the Rainforest Alliance, and the United Nations Foundations.
Our sustainability performance was independently audited by Green Destinations, showing you as guests that our commitment is visible and measurable. It also ensures that you are vacationing in a destination that cares about the future. Through GSTC certification, the Ahrntal holiday region has also achieved the South Tyrol Sustainability Label Level 3, demonstrating our commitment to high-level sustainable development.
